It has been reported that Marcus Morris and Nerlens Noel ended their relationship with agent Rich Paul and Klutch Sports.
Morris just signed a one-year deal with the New York Knicks worth $15 million dollars. He had previously signed a two-year $20 million dollar deal with Spurs, before backing out to sign with the Knicks.
Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News is reporting that according to a source Morris turned down a three-year $41 million dollar deal with Clippers.
The internet is filled with all kinds of rumors and speculation on why Morris decided to part ways with Paul.
As for Paul, he finds himself possibility again giving his clients bad advice. In the middle of the season, he dropped a bombshell in both New Orleans and Los Angeles and tried to force his client Anthony Davis to the Lakers.
He attempted to bully New Orleans in hopes they would fold and his client would end up on the Lakers.
Instead, it sabotaged both teams seasons as neither one was able to recover from the saga. Davis was put on an absurd minutes restriction, and both teams missed the playoffs.
Ultimately Davis got his wish and is now a member of the Lakers. Making him and LeBron James Paul’s biggest client one of the best duos in the league.
With LeBron James, Anthony Davis, John Wall, Ben Simmons all signed to Klutch all getting paid one can say Paul is one of the most successful agents in the game.
But with possibly his second blunder in so many months and a questionable Sports Illustrated article. Paul finds himself under a microscope, and we all will be watching closely to see how he responds going forward.
