Last night in Houston the two leading candidates for this years MVP faced off. Neither player disappointed Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 27 PTS and 21 REBS in the victory. James Harden finished with a game 42 PTS and 11 REBS. That gives Harden 13 straight games of 30 PTS or more. He’s averaging 40.6 PTS 6.8 REBS 9.6 AST over this stretch.
James Harden is in position to join an exclusive club of players who have won back to back league MVPs. Harden has recently been on an offensive tear, leaving defenders helpless in his wake. If he is able to win the MVP he will join Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Tim Duncan, Kareem Abdul- Jabbar, LeBron James, and Steph Curry just to name a few that accomplished this feat. Harden's current statistics are almost identical to last years MVP season.
